After the Surfside Condo Collapse, Miami Engineers Are Swamped
Curbed.com published an article about the large increase in demand for consulting engineering work following June’s tragic Champlain Tower South building collapse in Surfside, FL. President Miroslav “Misha” Mladenović is featured in the article addressing how “engineers have been overwhelmed with calls and requests from other condos,” saying, the firm is “logging 30 to 50 [requests] a week.”
“We are booked. People are worried: Maybe something bad is happening that we don’t know about,” Mr. Mladenović added.
The entire m2e Consulting Engineers family continues to keep the victims of the tragedy in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Our hope is that this terribly unfortunate event shines a light on the importance of properly investing in and maintaining properties in South Florida.
Our hearts go out to those affected. A 501c3 TAX DEDUCTIBLE emergency fund has been set up by a local synagogue to directly help those affected by this tragedy. Please consider donating.
